Paul Bettany To Retire As Vision After WandaVision?

Will Paul Bettany Return As White Vision?

With just two weeks left for the release of WandaVision, Marvel is pulling all the stops in promoting the commencement of Phase 4.

Persistent Android

With so much new information coming to light after every interview done by the cast, the last one we got is about Bettany and if he will continue as Vision after WandaVision.

While we thought Paul Bettany was done playing Vision once he died in Infinity War, Marvel sure did surprise us when they announced the WandaVision show.

Even though we know that Vision is in the show, we don’t have any idea about what is actually going on in the front. We have no idea whatsoever if Vision is returning for good or if it’s just Wanda’s illusions.

Help from the past

But if what some insiders claim is true, then Vision might, after all, come back but won’t have his past life memories, so he will get Darcy Lewis’ help to remember his past on planet Earth.

When Paul Bettany was recently interviewed by SFX magazine, the interviewer asked if WandaVision the end of Vision or if he will keep appearing in MCU even after that.

Ride of a Lifetime

While Bettany agreed that this ride had been the ride of his lifetime, he is unsure what is to come. Here is his statement.

“I’m going to not speak on that one. I love playing the Vision. I would love to continue in some way, shape, or form in the universe. I love this character, and I think that, as you will see when you get to watch this, anything is possible. We can break all kinds of rules. It’s vibrant storytelling, and it’s full of many opportunities to tell all sorts of different stories. I love being involved, and it’s been a ride of a lifetime.”

End of OG Avengers

While phase 4 is starting to look like it is about to bid adieu to the remaining OG Avengers, one thing about this statement from Bettany gives us hope.

Bettany has been in the franchise ever since Iron Man in 2008; he is the longest-running character in the franchise. But he wasn’t always the Vision, he was Jarvis before that, and then he died in Infinity War. Still, he came back.

The best thing to be a robot is that you can spring back anytime. So, if you see the second line, ‘I would love to continue in some way, shape, or form in the universe,’ given that he wasn’t always Vision, we can expect to see Bettany continue to be a part of MCU one way or the other.
