2020’s People’s Choice Awards: Highlights
The 2020 People’s Choice Awards aired live today on E! Due to COVID restrictions, winners at the ONLY fan-voted award function had a very unconventional experience. At the stage of Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, and addressed virtual fans represented on hundreds of screens.
Plenty of amazing stars were awarded tonight, and the show was hosted by Singer Demi Lovato, who, to impress fans, kept on juggling around changing costumes. Lovato also jokes about her two-month-engagement with The Young.
Bad Boys for Life, BTS, Hamilton, The Kissing Booth 2, Keeping Up with the Kardashians were the big winners on Monday. The award ceremony also featured performances by Justin Bieber and Chloe x Halle.
Before the show aired, E! already named three of the night’s top honorees. Jennifer Lopez took home the Icon Award while Tyler Perry received the People’s Champion Award and Tracee Ellis Ross accepted the Fashion Icon Award.

Ellis Ross won the Fashion Icon Awards and in her thanking speech she “obviously” had “to thank herself, my mom” – Diana Ross. “Not only for her great parenting,” Ellis Ross said. “But also her example, her sense of style, her epic closet, and her glamour that introduced me to the power of fashion.”
“The Voice” coach, Blake Shelton while his acceptance speech for top country artist specially thanked his new fiancee Gwen Steffani. “Also, thank you to my new fiancée, Gwen Stefani,” he shared at the end of the speech. “That’s S-t-e-f-a-n-i, if you need to Google it to figure out who she is,” he said. He revealed after the show on Instagram Live that she was waiting in the car after the award show.
