Ayodhya Temple land deal was transparent, says Secretary

Ayodhya Temple land deal

The Ayodhya Temple trust said that the Ayodhya temple land deal was carried out transparently.

Earlier, two opposition parties had accused it of pulling off an illicit transaction.

However, Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Champat Rai, Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, clarified the matter.

Mr. Rai says that 12,080 sq meter of land has been purchased by the Trust.

He also says that they bought it at a rate much lower than the market rate.

According to Mr. Rai, the plot is situated in a prime location near the Ayodhya Railway Station.

The sellers also had previous agreements with the owners in 2011, 2017, and 2019.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra was set up by the government in February 2020.

Their job is to oversee and manage the construction of the temple based on the SC verdict.

The SP and AAP claim that two real estate dealers bought land from an individual at 2 crore rupees.

The parties say the Ayodhya Temple land deal is a complete scam.

They also accuse the Trust of betraying its donors.

They then sold it to the trust for 18.5 crore rupees.

In response, Mr. Rai says the allegations are influenced by politics and are misguided.

The Ram Temple is a very significant issue in UP.

As a result, the allegations are significant as elections in UP are approaching.

Yesterday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi hit out at BJP over the issue.

He accused them of betraying Lord Ram’s name through this land deal.
