Dandadan Chapter 28 Recap:

Jiji turns out to be a carefree and wacky guy, much like the rest of the group. To make it more interesting, Jiji is moving in with Momo and her grandma. As much as Momo is opposing it, Aira delves into her own fantasy. She thinks that Ragnarok is near and they need to prepare for a fight.

Soon after Aira’s departure, Okarun takes his leave too. But before he leaves, we see a cute and wholesome goodbye where they both say ‘see you tomorrow’ to each other. It’s pretty clear both of them have feelings towards each other and the narrative is taking its sweet time to create a strong bond.

Cut to the next panel, Momo is still questioning why Jiji is here with them. To that, Grandma answers that Jiji’s parents are in hospital and they gotta help each other in times of need. While washing the utensils with Momo, Jiji reveals that he can see spirits. 

And the real reason his parents ended up in hospital was due to the spirit roaming in his house. They even hired famous spirit mediums to exorcise the spirit but it was in vain as 3 out of 5 of them committed suicide. So, the last resort, his last option was Momo’s Grandma only. 

Then Jiji asks for forgiveness as he made a lot of fun about her when they were children. Because now he knows spirits exist, he understands the consequences. But, Grandma says that she can’t take on the spirit because her powers only work in the Kamikoshi City. Thus, this assignment can only be completed by Jjiji and Momo.

What can you expect from Dandadan Chapter 29?

Dandadan Chapter 29 will be about the all-new character Jiji and Momo fighting against the creepy spirit in Jiji’s house. After all, Momo’s uniform depends upon it so I think she’ll take it seriously.

We don’t know anything about Jiji when it comes to his powers to fend off the spirits. Maybe, we’ll get a glimpse in the next chapter.
