Takemichi Hanagaki finds out that his middle school ex-girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, and her younger brother Naoto had been murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang. When Takemichi is shoved in front of a train, he teleports to 2005, precisely 12 years ago. He makes the decision to save his ex-girlfriend from certain death.

Recap for Tokyo Revengers Chapter 257

Since Chapter 258 is not out yet, we can go over Chapter 257 once. Chapter 257 is named “Tipping Point”. Kaku and Takemichi have stopped Sanzu but not the train. They are struggling to avoid a collision at the end of the station. Takemichi realises that if they don’t find the brakes the train would derail and kill everyone.

Kaku is seriously injured and bleeding all over. Takemichi does not know what to do. Kaku asks his to step off the train as he would die too but Takemichi refuses. Kaku stands up and staggers forward, and assures Takemichi that he will stop the train by pulling the brakes.

Takemichi is stubborn about staying on in the train but Kaku just throws him out and manages a forced smile, saying, “I’ll get Sanzu’s ass for ya.” Takemichi shouts from the platform as the train rifles forward to hundreds of unaware people.

But Kaku has resolved to stop the train. He pulls the break very hard and miraculously the train stops. Everyone is amazed. But when Takemichi looks inside, Kaku is dead.
