Chainsaw Man Chapter 141 Recap

In chapter 141 of Chainsaw Man, Denji and Nayuta have an encounter with a big devil at a supermarket. Denji was eager to take it on, but Devil Hunters quickly handled the situation, leaving him disappointed.

Afterward, Denji went back to his ordinary life, spending time with his dogs and Nayuta. However, he couldn’t sleep and pondered his future happiness after graduating and getting a job. Nayuta asked if he was unhappy, and he didn’t have an answer.

The story shifted to a restaurant where Barem and Sugo sat with their allies. They planned to celebrate the Chainsaw Man Church’s day of worship by letting civilians and hunters die. Hoping this would force Chainsaw Man to return and fight the devils. Sugo questioned why they were going to such lengths.

One of their allies explained that on that day, they saw themselves as mere weapons. But Sugo disagreed, wanting to make his own choices. Barem questioned the similarity between humans, weapons, and devils, and he answered that they were all born to kill, believing that God would forgive them, no matter how many they killed on that fateful day.

In Chainsaw Man Chapter 134, we might not see the Chainsaw Man Church’s slaughter of innocents start in earnest, but it’s more than likely the gears of their plot will begin to churn forward. Both Denji and Public Safety won’t take it lying down, and all three factions are likely to collide.

This, however, leaves Asa as a wild card in the equation. Given her feelings for both Denji and Chainsaw Man, it’s entirely possible she won’t go along with the Church’s plan without any doubts. This could finally lead to an understanding between her and Denji, or it could add fuel to the fire and trigger a fight between them.
