Karin Uzumaki
Karin was introduced as the second member of Sasuke Uchiha’s rogue ninja squad, Hebi. At the time, she was valued for her sensory ninja skills and infallible healing ability. She was rude and abrasive towards anyone who wasn’t Sasuke.
During her limited appearances in the Boruto anime, Karin has demonstrated maturity that she was sorely lacking in Shippuden. While her younger self would have flown into a jealous fury at the mere idea of Sasuke having a wife other than her.

Naruto Uzumaki
The best way to describe the Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tailed Fox would have been “delinquent.” Unhappy with being ignored by the villagers at large. Naruto would resort to childish pranks like spraying graffiti over the Hokage’s stone faces.

He’s yet another character that mellowed with age in Boruto. Sasuke as he appeared in the original Naruto series would have been irate at the idea of being in Naruto’s shadow. Shikamaru gained a sense of responsibility and conviction that had been missing for most of his shinobi career. As the Hokage’s advisor, Shikamaru has shown similar levels of maturity and discipline to Naruto in his adult years. He might still call some important duties a pain on occasion, but in critical moments, Shikamaru could always be counted upon to defend the village.
