Who are Quincy and Their True Powers in Bleach ?

The Quincy which is the Japanese Name For “Monk of Destruction” are a race of spiritual beings (notably humans) that inherited their spiritual powers from Yhwach. They are all the children of Yhwach and everyone has Yhwach blood flowing through them and so, He alone has control over the Powers of his people.

Most of  them Were exterminated by the Shinigami over 200 years ago in order to prevent the collapse of  the worlds due to the Quincy Over-Hunting and destroying all Hollows they encountered. They are the polar opposite of shinigami

What are Quincy?

Quincy are humans that are born with powers due to their connection to Yhwach. They have the ability to detect the existence of hollows and other souls.

Besides that, they can use the specific powers their race is born with. However, Quincy are particularly vulnerable to hollows. Human bodies have some amount of protection from hollows reiatsu, and they can survive from minor wounds inflicted by them. Quincy have no antibodies against them, so they’re especially vulnerable to hollow attacks.

Spiritual particles absorption

The quincy can absorb the spiritual particles from their surroundings which is the source of their powers. They utilize the absorbed spiritual particles to use their powers. It is dependent on the amount they absorb and how much they need for their techniques. This ability is particularly powerful in the soul society, since the entire place is made of spiritual particles.

Blut

This is a quincy’s main defensive technique. The user makes their reishi flow through their blood vessels, strengthening their bodies. This makes them resilient enough to withstand direct hits from weapons and, in case of a stronger quincy their blut can withstand powerful special attacks.

Hirenkyaku

This is quincy’s high-speed movement technique. It is similar to a soul reaper’s flash step or arrancar sonido, this allows them to move in both ground and air at high speeds by riding on the reishi under the user’s feet which seems similar to surfing.

Archery

As quincy are very vulnerable to attacks from hollow, they use archery as their main combat style, which allows them to attack the hollows from a distance keeping them safe. Quincy use reishi to create bows and arrows of light. They use different shape and size of bow and arrows depending upon their preference.
