The mutant son of a human sea captain and a prince of the mythical undersea kingdom of Atlantis, Namor possesses the super-strength and aquatic abilities of the Homo mermanus race, as well as the mutant ability of flight, along with other superhuman powers.
Through the years, he has been portrayed as an antihero alternately from a good-natured but short-fused superhero, or a hostile invader seeking vengeance for perceived wrongs that misguided surface-dwellers committed against his kingdom. The first known comic book antihero, the Sub-Mariner has remained a historically important and relatively popular Marvel character.
That’s a prediction and not a confirmation. But Namor the Sub-mariner, like Magneto, is an anti-hero, does good things when he wants to, and does bad actions when he has to. He has fought alongside and against the Avengers and Defenders as well as Fantastic Four and X-Men.
He’s Marvel’s first mutant as far as publication goes but not the oldest mutant within the Marvel universe. Much like Aquaman, he is an Atlantean-human hybrid and King of Atlantis but unlike Aquaman, he has the ability to fly. The only difference is, they’re not within the same universe (Aquaman is DC’s superhero) until Marvel/DC crossover pits them together.
His more prominent team is being part of The Illuminati. The Illuminati is a secret group of the strongest and smartest in the Marvel Universe, comprised of Iron Man, Professor X, Namor himself, Mr. Fantastic, Doctor Strange, and Black Bolt.
That’s a supergroup that no one wants to go up against unless you have a team of gods or Celestials. It’ll be interesting to see how Namor the villain takes on the protagonists of Doctor Panther 2.

Thanos has been able to beat every other superhero without breaking a sweat. He has killed Loki, he has killed Gamora. He killed Vision. But, if we pay attention we can clearly see, he didn’t kill any of the superheroes even when he could’ve. He could’ve killed Thor quite easily in Ragnarok. Hulk was no…
The “What If” series is an alternate take on the Marvel Universe where things happen slightly differently from the main reality. It is based on the long-standing comic series of the same name which was Marvel’s response to DC’s Imaginary Stories which followed the same premise and was later on firmed up as the Elseworlds…
