The Witcher’s prequel, set to start filming by July, has added an interesting member to the cast, and fans are excited because they think the person will appear in the second season of the Witcher.

Has the Blood Origin started filming?

Well, that’s a good question, but we don’t think they have started yet. Some have been confused over this fact since the male lead, Laurence O’Fuarain, shared a picture of Arborfield Studios and captioned it as “The Beginning.”

But it is rumored that the show will start filming by late July or early August. Probably after Lauren Hissrich is a little done with the post-production work of The Witcher.

Before you wonder, yes, the casting of Blood Origin is already halfway done, but the female lead has not been revealed yet. And, no, we are sure that Jason Momoa is not the lead.

Who is the villain of Blood Origin?

Well, as of now, we are not sure if he is the only villain, but we have a name, Eredin Bréacc Glas. To the book and video game fans, this name might mean something to others, wait till we explain.

Australian actor Jacob Collins-Levy will play the role is known for his role in Netflix’s Young Wallander.

Will the people in Blood Origin appear in The Witcher?

Yes, since the Witcher universe has a lot of witches and magical creatures, there are many chances that we will see the characters from Blood Origin appear in the sequel.

To name some, Lara Dorren and even the villain, Eredin Bréacc Glas, will be making an appearance. According to reports, another actor called Sam Hazeldine has been cast to play the role of Eredin Bréacc Glas in the sequel.

This could just mean that Hazeldine was not available for the prequel because of his scheduling conflict or because the studio was looking for a younger actor to play a role in the prequel because it happens 1200 years before the sequel.

The second theory is likely to fit because Hazeldine is a 50 plus actor, and Jacob Collins-Levy is an actor in his 30s.

Eredin is the leader of the infamous Red Riders and is set to be one of the leads in the series. He is a negative character to the plot, so he is most likely the villain of the prequel’s first season.
