Season 2 of The Witcher series is creating quite the hype even before its release.

What’s the hype about?

The Witcher series, adapted from the Polish novel, was a hit with 76 million views on Netflix even though the series failed to get any good ratings from critics. Henry Cavill led series is right now filming for the second season, and everyday fans are getting a good number of BTS videos and new gossips about the series.

The fans of the series might want to avoid reading this article any further if you hate spoilers. If you are a fan of the novel and have already read it, then go ahead.

Okay, if you are still reading, don’t blame me; I warned you. According to multiple confirmed sources, it is said, Rebecca Hanssen, the 26-year-old actor, has been cast as the Queen of Meve and Lyria.

Hanssen was last seen in Netflix’s Enola Holmes and Amazon’s Lore. The number of episodes she will appear in is still unknown, but we can give you a glimpse of what to expect.

Who is Queen Meve?

Queen Meve, unlike our casting here, is a little older and is a widow with two incompetent sons in the book. But, she is a no-nonsense, putting men in their place, queen. But don’t worry, she may be a distant relative of Queen Calanthe, but she is definitely not too proud to accept help.

Now that the casting is of a much younger actress like Rebecca Hanssen, there are chances that we might see a different spin to the character. But, there is no doubt the Witcher writers will do justice to the character from the Novel.

Nothing like Calanthe

Along with many other pluses, the Witcher is also praised for the female characters in the series and their portrayal. Let it be Yennefer or Fringilla or Triss Merigold or Ciri or Calanthe; they gave them all different forms of power and strength and weaknesses. So, no doubt, Queen Meve will also be given an influential role.

With queen Calanthe dead, it is high time we get another queen with the same sarcasm and whims but with lesser pride. So, Queen Meve will be the right fit. We will not give you what role she might be playing in the series because that will give out significant spoilers, so just believe us when we say it will be interesting.

With so many new characters debuting and so many new plot lines mixed with the older ones, without a doubt, season two will be a hit like the first one.
