Everything About ‘Nightmare’ The Villain of Doctor Strange 2 and WandaVision

Doctor Strange 2 villain

Doctor Strange 2 is one of the most anticipated movies in Marvel phase 4. Even though the pandemic has created a lot of schedule changes, let’s hope that all the films scheduled by Marvel by 2021 come as planned.

There have been lots of speculations that Nightmare will make his MCU debut in Multiverse of Madness. Even though nothing has been confirmed yet, we can’t wait to see Nightmare as the new Villain wreaking Havoc and Doctor Strange coming in to save the day.

I know that sounds messed up, but being a marvel fan is hard. We can’t wait to see the Avengers fight their own demons in their titular movies and join again once more for Avengers franchise (God I hope so).

Dear Old Enemy

Now to those unaware of who Nightmare is, he is the Villain in many comics. He has taken over and disrupted the lives of Hulk, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider and Doctor Strange according to the comics.

Nightmare‘s birth and how he was born is not precisely accounted for. Still, it is known that he was born in Everinnye dimension, just like the Dweller-in-Darkness. The Nightmare was known to be the most powerful in the Splinter realm called the Nightmare realm, inside the Dream dimension.

Nightmare rapes demoness Zilla Char, who gives birth to a daughter Dream Queen. All three children of Nightmare were either born out of him controlling the host body or having something else to do with them being in a seductive state. Other two children include Trauma and Daydream.

Nightmare is one of the class three demons along with Dormammu. He is one of the worst enemies of Doctor Strange and has also been the dear old enemy of Ghost Rider. In the comics, he is seen to haunt Spider-Man in his sleep until Stan Lee comes and smacks Spidey‘s head with a tennis racket.

Wanda’s own Nightmare

Wanda might be a super villain in Doctor Strange 2.

Now that there are a lot of speculations that Wanda might be the Villain in WandaVision and continue to be the same in Doctor Strange 2, it all makes sense. It is a known fact from the comics that, Wanda when she loses someone close to her she creates fake reality or lives in a dimension where they exist, thus altering things in that realm.

Now that Nightmare is a part of Multiverse of Madness, there is no way he lets go of a chance to feed on a powerful brain like Wanda. Many Reddit fans and theories suggest that it was Nightmare, who triggers Wanda to cause the trauma in her past to reappear. Now that will make Wanda also a new Villain for Strange.

We know one thing for sure, Doctor Strange will need all the help he can get, because Wanda alone can be a handful, combined with Nightmare, Oh Lord have mercy on Strange!
